National Feral Cat Day is Oct. 16, as we all most likely know. Is anything going on locally?

HI, all: does anybody have any ideas about getting non-feral cats back home? My cat slipped out the door about 21/2 weeks ago and we haven't seen her in about 8days. The Great staff at Ark gave great suggestions which we tried, but ever since the rain came, we haven't seen her.

If you need cats, as you know I am always looking for a place for relocation.

Unfortunately, I lost two of my dears, probably to coyotes. I am adding to my colony right now. Since the time I lost Nick and Joe, I have turned this place into an anti-coyote fortress. I can't thank you enough for sending these cats my way! They are truly a blessing to me.

Peggy,

So great to hear from you. I am so glad to hear that the cats we relocated to your place are well. We have grown so much since we met that I sometimes forget those great friends I have made along the way. I hope that with this forum we can make our state smaller and more productive to change.

I have a small colony of former ferals. They are the loveliest cats I know. They take care of each other, and me. And they came from member Michele! Thanks, Michele!

Michele, you do outstanding work! I am so thrilled to have gotten into TNR myself. I do not think there is a more humane, more cost effective and realistic program any humane organization can get involved with than TNR. It can make a HUGE difference.

So glad to see there are others interested in TNR. This type of program has truly become a passion for me. I started "trapping" in 2004 and have trapped just over 4,200 cats. This is a very small and dedicated organization to truly change the face of homeless animals. I think TNR is the answer.
