I think we've discussed this before but I think many of our loving pets would not pass those temperment tests. Would be interesting experiment to find out. (I personally wouldn't get my dog near an animal shelter though) Most dogs are very stressed…

The Tribs article does shed a little more light on the story. For one, he was housed in a kennel at a water treatment plant. Hmmm... doesn't really sound like proper treatment to me. He was skinny and old and probably looks nothing like the picture…

My Red Lake Rosie's visit

Just wanted to share some of the photos I took last weekend up at Red Lakes Rosie's and encourage everyone to go up there and help Karen or transport dogs. Its a pretty amazing place and I feel so lucky to have had the chance. We transported 16 angels back to the cities. Not one cry or bark or poop the whole way! At 3:31pm on October 19, 2009, Karen Good said…: Hi Mary: Hope all is well with you- RLRR shelter bustling with activity and I have 2 pups in my car dropped off which Polly found wandering the streets. I usually carry a crate in my car for that purpose.
I have a group of students who will be visiting the shelter tommorrow- I spent l hour with them today talking about humane education issues, and connecting to animals. I had Pearl's pictures and her heartworming and tear jerking story as a part of that presentation- They are excited about coming to the shelter- We are going to plant the peace pole, and have a group in the cathouse and a group walking the dogs.

We are going to cook out....We pray for great weather- Thank you so much Mary and have a great evening. Karen
